It is now official.\u00a0 The 2012 boating season has begun.\u00a0 Splash was\u00a0May 16th with \u00a0Conductance making her way home through the quiet rivers and gratiously anticipated May breezes.\u00a0 A few fishermen brave the chill in the air at this time of the year.\u00a0 Not many other types of boaters yet.<\/p>\n
Check list once and twice before heading home from Tonawanda.\u00a0 Engines started up and they ran beautifully.\u00a0 After coolers were refurbished this winter in Scott’s workshop.\u00a0 No leaks from the disco lights that were also installed a couple weeks ago.\u00a0 Always a bonus not having leaks after drilling 4 – \u00a01″ holes in the hull.\u00a0 Now for all the electrical.\u00a0 Gremlins seem to have multiplied in the electronics with the touch screen intermittently working,\u00a0navigation charts sporatic and the VHF radio non existent.\u00a0 Now that’s a problem.\u00a0 Scott, I know what you’re doing this weekend.<\/p>\n
Waxing has to be completed this weekend while tied to the dock and some major cleaning.\u00a0 Bring on the sunscreen.<\/p>\n
The first major trip this long weekend will be to\u00a0drain the antifreeze and add water.\u00a0 I think a stop at “The Boathouse” for some patio time is in order while we are there.\u00a0 Anyone interested in the first maiden voyage for 2012 can give us a call!!!<\/p>\nngg_shortcode_0_placeholder\n
